N-Series Digital Drive in PCB-Mountable Format with Downloadable User Code, Internal Profile Generation, and Position Control

ION/CME N-Series Digital Drives are compact, PCB-mountable modules that provide high-performance motion control, network connectivity, and power amplification for Brushless DC, DC Brush, and step motors. Fully programmable, these powerful members of the ION® 500 Digital Drive family allow designers to download and run application programs directly on the ION unit itself. Three power output levels are available - 75, 350, and 1,000 watts. N-Series IONs perform profile generation, PID servo compensation, direct encoder input, stall detection, field-oriented control, and many other motion control functions. Host interface options include Ethernet, CAN FD, RS232, RS485, and SPI These miniature devices are ideal for creating embedded control solutions for medical, mobile, scientific, semiconductor, and a host of other automation applications.

At the core of every N-Series ION is a Magellan IC that speaks PMD's common language C-Motion, thereby ensuring compatibility with the entire range of PMD motion control products.

ION® 500 & ION 3000 Digital Drives are compact, fully enclosed cable-connected modules that provide high-performance motion control, network connectivity and power amplification for Brushless DC, DC Brush, and step motors. Two power output levels are available, the ION 500 is rated at 500 Watts and the ION 3000 is rated at 3,000 Watts. IONs perform profile generation, PID servo compensation, direct encoder input, stall detection, field-oriented control, digital torque control, and many other motion control functions. Host interface options include Ethernet, CANbus, RS232 and RS485. These powerful devices are ideal for medical, scientific, semiconductor, robotics, industrial and many other automation applications.
